Lit News with Avant-garde Books, LLC!

Avant-garde Books, LLC is the first Black mother/daughter-owned bookstore in the world. While their physical location at the Mall West End in SW Atlanta is no longer open, they are still committed to promoting literacy and learning, especially among socioeconomically disadvantaged children. Their mission is not just to sell books, but they strive to save and empower members of their commUNITY with the right knowledge about themselves, their history, race, culture, and identity.

Our bookstore is now open at The Mall West End!

Because of so many kind and generous people, we have moved into our new space at The Mall West End. ! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for your prayers, purchases, shout-outs, donations, referrals, sound business advice, tips, words of encouragement, and most of all, LOVE!

You can visit our store Wednesday through Saturday (12 -7 pm)

and Sunday (1-6 pm)!
