Lit News with Avant-garde Books, LLC!

Avant-garde Books, LLC is the first Black mother/daughter-owned bookstore in the world. While their physical location at the Mall West End in SW Atlanta is no longer open, they are still committed to promoting literacy and learning, especially among socioeconomically disadvantaged children. Their mission is not just to sell books, but they strive to save and empower members of their commUNITY with the right knowledge about themselves, their history, race, culture, and identity.

Live Story Time with Avant-garde Books (at The Mall West End)!

We are GRATEFUL for school psychologist and professional licensed counselor, Vivian A. Nichols for volunteering to read stories at our inaugural "live" story time in our new space.
